WHY LUMP COAL IS BEST FOR NEW GRILLERS
When you're new to cooking on the grill, finding the perfect fire starter can be an unexpected challenge.
There are so many options! It can get a little confusing. There's charcoal, lump coal, wood chips/chunks, and just straight up lighter fluid. These are just a few.
If you're a first-time griller, I highly recommend using lump coal.
It's easy to use like charcoal, but it's much cleaner because it's just a clump of burnt wood. The wood itself is a natural smoker.
Lump coal also burns slower, longer, and holds heat for an extended period of time. You won't have to do much poking around at your meat because the heat will remain consistent for quite a while.
Since Lump Coal burns cleaner, you don’t have to use any wood along with it. It already provides some of the same great qualities as wood chips, giving your food a nice smoked flavor without completely overpowering it.
